Review: Etude house precious mineral any cushion
Here's my comparison review between the Laneige BB Cushion and the Etude house precious mineral any cushion.
So let's start out with the etude house previous mineral any cushion
Price : $32 SGD
I am reviewing this product from the point of view of mine after a week of usage. I would say that I like this product but don't love it till the point that I won't be able to survive without this product.
It comes in a compact with a cushion in a lid compartment. The lid there is actually to prevent the product in the cushion from evaporating. It also comes with a sponge applicator which is not only different in terms of the color, but also the density of the sponge. The sponge is so much denser than just normal sponge applicators that you get from other powders or cream foundation.
Here, I will be comparing it with the Laneige BB cushion:
First of all, the price, the laneige one cost $59 with refill, etude house $32 without refill. To me, I would think that both cost around the same marginal line as laneige you are buying the product and also its refill.
Packaging wise, the etude house one would look cuter and it seems to be more popular among teenage girls. On the other hand, the laneige one is more on a simplicity side where it is all white.
Shade range wise, I would seriously prefer laneige one. As all of you know, I am pretty fair even though I am slightly tanner now, I am still on the fairer side of skin. Laneige one offers 5 shades to choose from and the one that I am holding on is their lightest shade which is no.13 true beige, so which means if you are ever tanner than me, you still have 3/4 shades to choose from.(I believe that I am in no.21 natural beige now which is their second lightest shade). However, for the etude house precious mineral any cushion, they only have 2 shades to choose from and I am currently already in Honey Beige W24 which is their darker shade. This have to mean that if you are any tanner or darker than me in terms of your skin tone, this product will be too light a shade for you.
So now here I will swatch this and also the Laneige BB cushion
we'll start with my bare hands
I use a eyeliner to draw a line and divide my hand into to sides
I will then apply my laneige bb cushion on my right side
Then my precious mineral any cushion on the left side
Here's how they look side by side
Personally, I think that both of them apply on very easily, they look very nice and natural one, I do not have any problem with the makeup appear floating on my face. However, I do feel that the Laneige one feels a little bit more comfortable with the application as it felt a little more cooling and I realise that the Laneige one have a more glowing radiance kind of look as compare to the etude house one. But the etude house one do have a slightly heavier coverage as compare to the Laneige one as it covers up more of my blemishes and some acne spots that I have on my face. I also realise that the etude house one is more moisturising and creamier than the laneige one which is slightly on the more watery side. So if you are someone who have drier or dry combination, do take note that etude house one might be a better choice for you. However, if you have oily or even combination skin on the oilier side, the laneige one would definitely be a bettter choice.
Personally, I feel that I would reach out for the Laneige one more when I am going to school as it feels more comfortable, but when I am going out on a regular basis, I would prefer the etude house one. So, I would say that buy according to your skin type and also your skin tone. If you want, you could always go to the counters and ask whether they have any samples of the product and try them out before buying them. Hope that this long review is helpful. I will see you peeps in my next post.
