Review: Maybelline Pure Eraser Foundation

Today's post is all about this foundation. If you have been shopping at any of the stores that carries Maybelline's makeup product, this is no stranger to you. I have been using this foundation since early this month, so it have been around 3 weeks of trying out and testing it out with different conditions and here I am finally doing the review of this product.

If you do not know what is this product, it is a foundation that is innovative as it comes with a sponge like applicator which is suppose to help is better application of the product and eraser all the imperfections of your skin. The applicator is also said to have some anti-bacteria function which will help to keep the sponge tip clean without having to wash it. It has a SPF 27 PA+++ which is good and also that the package also have it very easy to travel around with it as you only need to bring this and you do not need any applicators like your sponge and foundation brush which is awesome.

1. The price: The price of this that I buy is $27.90 which I think is quite reasonable for a foundation.
2.Staying power: Do not expect long staying power for this foundation. It stays on without any primer and setting powder on me for about 4 hours. With either a primer underneath or a setting powder on top of it, it will stay for around 6-8 hours which is really not quite enough for me.
3. Coverage: this is definitely not a foundation that you can go on without a concealer if you have problem areas on your skin. This provides a medium coverage which can be build up but I would not recommend as it will just appear too thick on your skin. If you really want to build up the coverage without making your foundation look too thick, my recommendation is set it with a loose powder that provides coverage and just lightly padding it into your skin for some extra coverage.
4. Finish look: It gives a quite dewy finish look which is good for the summer time but maybe not so much for me during this period of the year as I would prefer semi-matte or even full-matte look for the fall autumn to winter season.

Personally, I would not buy this product again as I have some other better product but I would finish up the one that I have on hand as it isn't a bad product, just not good enough. But for those that do not mind the dewy look and that staying power and just wants something that is convenient to travel around with, do take a look and try this product.
