How to: Choosing eyeliners and how to use them to perfect your eyes.

This is actually the first post of the series HOW TO, and it will be all about eyeliners. How should you choose your eyeliners and also how can you do up your eyes with the different eye looks that eyeliner can do.

First there are basically 4 types of eyeliners that are in the market now
1: Pencil - Most common and is like there in the market forever.
2: Liquid - Comes in many different forms like your traditional liquid foundation in a tube and with a tiny brush applicator. Recently there are also those flexi/ felt-tip liner out in the market and THEY ARE ALSO LIQUID LINER JUST IN DIFFERENT FORM.
3: Gel - Basically it is eye liner in gel form and mostly you get the in small pots. Normally when you purchase them, they will also come with a mini eye liner brush applicator for you to apply the product.
4: Cream - I believe that there will be people who will go, is there cream liners?? How come I don't know? Actually, we see it every time we go to a makeup counter, store or even places like watsons and guardian. Cream liners are those that are like in pencil form just that they are pencils that can be twist up and you do not have to sharpen them like traditional pencil liner.

One common mistake or wrong concept that people have is that eyeliners have to black. And I think that tat is really really damn wrong. There are so many eyeliner colors out there in the market, so why restrict yourself to black? Personally, I have quite a lot of eyeliner colors, although some of them I do not wear them often, but it is like a try out of which color will actually suit me better.

First, if you are just a beginner, this is all the information that you should know. Start off with an easy control eyeliner. When I mean by easy control is when you are easily do out the look that you want. And comparing the 4 types of eye liner, you can get either a pencil eyeliner, a felt-tip liner or a cream liner in a pencil form. Reason being is that you grew up holding a pen or a pencil and not a brush. Unless you are a painter since young and that you are so good in terms of brushes and that you are confident enough that you will not messed up, use a pencil, to play safe.
Pencil is generally easier to work with and also you will be able to get a thin or thick line base on how you draw. There are some liquid and gel liners that you will never get a precise line and that you always get a thick eyeliner. So, for beginners, start traditional.

Next, colors. I do not think that black is something that beginners should be using. I would recommend colors in the brown family. Brown will be a more natural color which can gives a softer line to your eye line and makes it looks a lot more natural. Black is a little too dark if you are someone with fairer skin and that your irises are not black enough and it will be just too harsh. Do avoid any bright and striking colors as it will be really really messy if you mess up and you will have to remove your makeup and then also redo your makeup.

Here are some looks that you can do with your eyeliner:
These are only some of the ways that you can draw your eye lines. Do make sure that the eyeliner look will suit your eyes. If your eyes are more like me, the going upwards eyes, do not draw your eyeliner with a massive wink. Do a droppy eye. It will make your eyes look more innocent and less offensive. If your eyes is already droppy, pull it up with a wink. Another thing is that if you are someone with smaller eyes, do you do your whole under eyeliner to the front. Do it till mid-way, it will makes your eyes look bigger and also highlight your inner corners to brighten up your eyes. If you have extremely big eyes, too big, then fully draw your eye line. But you do want to make sure that you are going gentle and thin with your lower eye liner and also add on some brown, white or your eye shadow color that you are using to make it looks more natural.

Now, this marks the end of this post. Hope that you find this post useful and informative. And girls, let's work together to achieve beautiful eyes. If you have any questions or suggestions do comment on this post or ask me on twitter @lovebeauty_c.
