Today's topic will be about paraben.

What are parabens?
They are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives by cosmetics skincare products.

Why are they used?
To prevent the growth of microbes in cosmetic products

Why are they said to be harmful?
Parabens can be absorbed through the skin, blood and digestive system. They have been found in biopsies from breast tumors at concentrations similar to those found in consumer products. So they are said that they cause cancer.

The fact.
One of the most vocal is Philippa Darbre, a senior lecturer in oncology and researcher in biomolecular sciences at the University of Reading, in England. She specializes in the impact of estrogen on breast cancer. In 2004, Darbre’s team published a pivotal study that detected parabens in 18 of 20 samples of tissue from breast tumour biopsies. Her study didn’t prove parabens cause cancer, only that they were easily detected among cancerous cells.

Conclusion: none of any research actually shows that parabens are ok for use there are still not enough research on the thing that they causes cancer or anything but if you are those who play safe and wants to avoid it, there is also no way that anyone is going to say no. But for me, personally I am not going to avoid it.
